“I recently moved from a district partnering with PSG to a district not partnering with PSG, and was relieved to know that I could establish a partnership outside of the Kenosha area. The professional development I received from multiple members of PSG has been easy to understand, relatable and specific. In addition, working with the therapists from PSG on a consultation basis has been a positive experience all around. The help they provide with parents, and the support given to students have made a true difference in some challenging classroom situations. ”
“We could not be happier with the services provided to our district through the Professional Services Group. From direct mental health support to students and staff to district-wide professional development, PSG always delivers a high level of service. The staff is both engaging and highly skilled! They go out of their way to find solutions to support mental health and collaborate with school and district teams!”
“As our partner, PSG has supported our staff with understanding what it means to be a trauma sensitive district and how to help students who are struggling with trauma related needs. They are fantastic and inspiring presenters! Our staff has left the presentations feeling encouraged, motivated, and knowledgeable on how to better address the needs of their students. The presentations are a great balance of facts & statistics, real life examples, and tips and tricks to apply in our classrooms and school environment.
Dr. Ballewske & Dr. Featherstone have also provided consultations around the mental health and behavior needs of our students. When we are stuck in the problem-solving process, they are great partners to reach out to and learn from. They have done student observations and provided debriefing sessions with teachers and other staff members to help coach us on our trauma sensitive techniques and supports. We truly value the partnership we have with PSG and are a better district because of the services they can provide.
PSG has been serving in a consultative role in school districts throughout Wisconsin since 2017, partnering with educators to develop trauma-sensitive cultures in their schools. This is done in a variety of formats, including professional development presentations (small and large group), in-class coaching, consulting on student teams, and student and caregiver education.
Professional Services Group has trained hundreds of therapists on important topics in the mental health field. We’re committed to providing quality training to clinicians and expanding the understanding of mental health, behavior, regulation, and treatment.
