Laura Endres is currently a graduate student at Alverno College. She is enrolled in their Master of Science in Community Psychology program. She is currently completing her required internship hours under supervision at Professional Services Group, which will enable her to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training. Under the mentorship of several PSG therapists and counselors, Laura has been developing her own eclectic and integrative therapeutic theoretical style, which borrows from several evidence-based approaches including: person-centered, strengths-based, and solutions-focused orientations, to name a few. Laura enjoys working with clients of all ages, and can draw on her twenty plus years of experience as both a classroom and reading teacher. Laura believes that therapists should strive to build rapport with their clients built on trust and a genuine positive regard for their well-being. She works hard to be mindful and present with her clients and listen with empathy. While Laura understands that it is often necessary to process events from the past in order to heal, she doesn’t underestimate how empowering it can be to move forward in hope. Laura’s professional goals include assisting her clients with resolving barriers, setting effective boundaries, and both identifying and meeting goals that THEY have chosen.
