Monica Wagner, APSW
Monica earned her Master’s Degree from Loyola University of Chicago. She has experience working with Treatment Foster Care, Medical Social Work, pregnant teens/mom, children, adolescents and adults with complex trauma issues.
She currently works in the public school system as a School Based Mental Health therapist, specializing in children / adolescents with behavioral and emotional issues, as well as in the clinic working with families and individuals struggling with complex traumas or other issues.
Monica’s theoretical orientation is diverse, most often utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Person Centered, Solution Focused models, and play therapy with children. Monica also believes the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy and spends extensive time building this trusting relationship with each client.
