Hello, my name is Ashleigh Kovacik and I am a Clinical Mental Health Therapist Intern here at Professional Services Group. I am so happy that you’re here. I am finishing up my last year at Mount Mary University earning my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned my BS from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. I have always had a passion for helping others and watching them grow into who they truly want to be. I strive to provide a safe environment and meet the individual needs of each client. I believe the process of self discovery is so important for all individuals and can guide you to understanding your true self. I practice from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive and person-centered approach which means I am always going to put my clients first as I believe they are the expert of their own story and each person has a story to tell. Throughout the therapeutic process my role is to provide empathy, understanding and support for my clients on their healing journeys. For each client I encounter, I strive to instill the hope that they are capable of change. I believe self care is important to practice for everyone and helps foster positive growth. I personally enjoy going to the gym, walking my dog and watching new shows.
