I have 7 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Concordia University and immediately started working as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient hospital. While attending Graduate School through Concordia University of Wisconsin, I continued to work inpatient on a dual mental health and substance abuse detox unit and as a home care mental health nurse. I received my Master's of science in mental health from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My focus is on the treatment of ADHD, Oppositional defiant disorder, mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for adult and children. I value inter-professional collaboration and have a patient centered approach to health and healthcare using evidenced-based practice.
