Dr. McFarland is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. McFarland has been a Family Nurse practitioner for 15 plus years and a Registered Nurse for 20 plus years. She is the author of a peer-reviewed journal CME article “Early Identification of Pancreatic Cancer,” featured in the Clinician Reviews peer-reviewed journal. She has presented podium and poster presentations locally and nationally on various health care related topics. She was featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for her involvement in integrating primary care into a behavioral health care setting. She is a Fellow of the 2018-2019 Duke Johnson & Johnson Nurse Leadership Program, where she implemented a Diabetes app for individuals living with Diabetes titled “Whatz Diabetes.” Dr. McFarland is the recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journal 2016, 40 under 40 Award; Milwaukee Times 2017, Corporate Trailblazer Black Excellence Award; and the 2016, American Association of Nurse Practitioners State Advocate Award.
