Alena Kanter is a proud mother and a Milwaukee Native. Alena earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Social Worker. Alena has worked with children throughout her Social Work career in the realms of child welfare, Head Start, vocational rehabilitation, and now as a school-based therapist. One of the most important things for Alena is having an honest and trusting relationship with not only her clients, but their caregivers, as well. During therapy sessions Alena strives to have the client feel comfortable and at ease through use of games, coloring, sensory toys and even music. Alena believes that every client is truly unique, so their treatment plan, sessions, and progress are very individualized.
