Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining the parent-child relationship and other family attachments and reducing the sense of abandonment children experience at placement. This program focuses on enhancing the parent’s ability to adequately and appropriately care for and relate to the child, helping the parent(s) to develop appropriate parenting behaviors, and identify and resolve problems before and after children return home. Responsibilities include evaluations of youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources, conducting safety assessments and implementing plans, providing parent coaching during visitations and reporting progress and making recommendations to Rock County Human Services Department.

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field required.
• Previous experience working with at-risk youth preferred
• Spanish Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of current automobile insurance
• Criminal Background check
• Pre-Employment Drug Test
