Job Description

This position receives and formally documents reports of alleged child abuse and neglect within the Youth and Family Access Unit of the Racine County Human Services Department. This unit serves as the central reporting center for all allegations of child abuse and neglect in the County of Racine. Duties include: prioritizing and processing requests for information; interviewing callers appropriately to gather information; directing agency specific referrals to the appropriate department; and maintaining accurate records.

Hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, hours may be required outside of this timeframe to meet the needs of the program.

A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or other related field is required as well as at least one year of experience working with at-risk families and youth. Strong oral and written communication skills necessary.
