Job Description

Due to expansion in Outagamie County, we are now accepting resumes for the part-time position of In-Home Safety Services / Mobile Response Team Community Worker in Outagamie County. This position works with families referred from the Outagamie County Children, Youth and Families Units to maintain safety and provide de-escalation in homes where children are at risk for removal. This position provides services to youth who have been re-unified with their family after being placed in an out-of-home setting. Staff work closely with identified families and address a wide range of concerns including: safety, parenting, coaching strategies to effectively parent and deescalate aggressive, out of control behaviors.

This position may provide support and assistance with household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, community referral, education, employment, medical, mental health and substance abuse issues. This position also provides follow-up services as well as referrals to community based services when appropriate.

This position will be 8 - 12 hours a week, primarily evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or other related field, and have previous experience working with at-risk youth and families. A valid driver's license as well as proof of automobile insurance are required. Background check and drug test are required before offer of employment.
