Each position is slightly different but for the most part there will be a portion of the onboarding process that takes place on our electronic HRIS system, Paylocity, even prior to your start date. This includes reading the policy and procedure manual, completing tax forms, learning about the company, etc. As you start in your position, your supervisor will provide additional training and onboarding for the specific program, including shadowing other staff, learning documentation guidelines, and start working independently.
We recognize the need for flexibility with work and family life, so we offer flexible scheduling and work hours, depending on the needs of the programs. We have a generous PTO policy, allowing new staff to accrue up to 14 days off within the first year.
Staff receive performance evaluations after 60 days of employment and twice a year. Evaluations include assessment in the areas of professionalism, problem solving, communication, productivity, quality of work, job knowledge, integrity, dependability, managing conflict, and organization.
PSG/CIP have an active DEI committee, focusing on staff development, cultural humility to cultural relevance, and volunteer opportunities. We are also partnering with a consultant to support our efforts to promote principles and values of DEI with courage and optimism - knowing it requires a sustained commitment. The first phase of this work is focused on developing an organizational framework that clearly articulates PSG and CIP's mission, vision, and values concerning DEI.
Each position has different needs and expectations with regard to in person vs remote work. Whenever possible, we allow staff to work from home to complete documentation, attend virtual meetings, etc. Most of our positions, however, are hybrid in nature, requiring at least a portion of the work day taking place in the office or in the community meeting with clients. Staff can coordiante schedules and remote work options with their supervisor.
PSG and CIP have a 'dress for your day' policy regarding dress code. We don't want to create unnecessary barriers to engagement with clients so staff are able to dress comfortably while also appearing professional and maintaining boundaries. If staff are attending more formal activities, such as county meetings or court, we ask that they dress business casual.
PSG and CIP have grown significantly over the last several years, which has created lots of internal growth opportunities. Whenever possible, we prefer to promote from within the company, giving staff opportunities for professional growth and development over time.
