Services Provided

Winnebago Aftercare Comprehensive Services is a multi-faceted initiative that serves at-risk youth and their families. Professional Services Group employees work closely with Winnebago County employees to assess the various needs of the client. Flexible and creative programming is then provided to the youth (and family, if needed) based on the specific needs of the client. Direct service contacts include family support, counseling, home and school checks, goal driven mentoring as well as a variety of groups. On-going groups include Girls Circle, Gang Diversion and Anger/Emotional Management.
Supervised Visitation is responsible for providing supervision between children who are in temporary foster care placement and their families. Workers arrange and supervise visits, observe interactions, and when necessary, transport children to and from visits. Information from these visits is documented and reported to Winnebago County.
This program works with families referred from the Winnebago County Human Services Department to maintain safety in homes where children are at-risk for removal. This program addresses a wide range of concerns including safety, parenting, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, service acquisition, education, employment, medical, mental health and substance abuse issues. Emphasis is placed on helping families develop formal and informal systems of support and resource.
